Incoming Students to BRSSD

For students who will be newly enrolled into any grade level at any school within the Belmont-Redwood Shores School District, please review the following relevant information:

Information for New Students in All Grades

All New Students Will

  • be provided a planner, binder, and pencil pouch with pencils, pens, and highlighters
  • be given a student-led tour of the campus.

Ralston Bell Schedule  

  • School starts at 8:20am and ends at 3:03pm.
  • Wednesdays are a short day, ending at 12:29pm.  

Lunch

  • Lunch Master for hot lunch
  • Register online and purchase your meals ahead of time.  School Code = ralstonmiddle
  • Meals are served in the MUR.  You can find your lunch tag on the wall of the MUR.  Take it down and stand in line to get your lunch.

Bus

PE

  • PE uniforms can be purchased through Ralston's website.
  • Student must bring a copy of the receipt to PE class to receive the uniform.
  • Students may bring their own uniform:  black shorts or sweatpants (no yoga pants)/black shirt, athletic type material
  • Locks are required.  You may bring your own or rent through PE department.

School Loop:  Online system where teachers update assignments and grades.  Parents and students can also email staff from School Loop.

  • Students must register for a Student Account, and parents/guardians should register for a Parent Account.  Register here.
  • STUDENTS AND PARENTS MUST HAVE SEPARATE ACCOUNTS.
  • Parents/Guardians: click on “login/register” and enter in  student’s ID # to link the accounts

ID Cards:

  • If the student arrives after picture day, Ms. Payne in the front office can make an ID card.

Incoming 6th Grade Presentation

6th Grade Elective Information

 

6th Grade School Choice Process For Current & New BRSSD 5th Graders

  • January 23:  Deadline for submitting Middle School Choice Form for current BRSSD 5th grade students

 

  • March 6:  Notification of your school assignment for 6th grade Middle School Choice will be mailed (USPS) to all current and new students, if you requested Nesbit or Sandpiper.  All students requesting Ralston will not receive a letter, you are automatically enrolled if you chose Ralston as your Middle School.

 

*Optional – Students who do not submit a Middle School Choice Form will be assigned to their default Middle School. Please refer to the Q & A on Middle School Choice for additional information.
