English Language Arts
In Ralston's ELA classes, we focus on the acquisition of listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills through participation in a balanced language arts program.
Ralston's ELA department has adopted a new, standards-based curriculum, StudySync by McGraw-Hill, which has been approved by the BRSSD Board of Trustees. With both hard copy and digital components, StudySync will help us provide rigorous and high interest lessons for our students. Teachers also imbed auxiliary lessons and materials to make sure that all students are challenged and supported in the classroom. Our curriculum meets the Common Core State Standards for ELA which can be found here.
