Ralston School News

Ralston Community!

Halloween is Wednesday, October 31. Students may wear their costumes to school this day; however we do expect that if they choose to do so they will follow the school’s Halloween guidelines:

  • The costume should be appropriate for school
  • The costume should be tasteful. School dress code still applies
  • The costume should not hamper the student’s responsibility of carrying school supplies or being seated in class. No costume accessories may be brought to school this day: swords, surfboards, teddy bears, etc
  • Costumes should not reflect graphic violence or gang affiliation.
  • Costumes should not restrict students from dressing out for P.E.
  • No face or pullover masks. Also no excessive facial make up. Make up should not be brought to school, including tubes of face cream, blood, hair color spray, etc
  • Hats as part of costumes are permitted
  • No aerosol or spray bottles of any type; hair color, silly string or other toy like accessories
  • Footwear must be safe and supportive.

All costumes must be worn to school and not put on during the school day. Costumes must be in good taste.. This means that it should not be offensive to anyone – teachers, young kids, your grandma, etc. Administration does reserve the right to have students change if the costume violates the fun and “age appropriate” spirit of Halloween.

Thank you!
