Penny Foks
PTA President

Penny and her family have lived in Belmont for 11 wonderful years!!! They adore this welcoming community. With two children, one in 11th grade at Carlmont and the other in 8th grade at Ralston, they stay busy. The family shares a passion for activities like community service, volleyball, wrestling, camping, and traveling, especially exploring different cities together.

Dyuti Sengupta
VP / Communications

Dyuti has lived in Belmont with her husband, Rajneel, for 20 years. They have a 12th grader and a 7th grader. She has been an active parent volunteer since her older daughter attended Little Hands, Belmont’s beloved, now-shuttered co-op preschool. Hers is a family of individualists who collectively support passions including cycling, travel, gymnastics, ballet, writing, and reading. 

Manal Elghandour
VP Council Rep

Manal and her family have been in Redwood Shores for 15 years.  She has four kids, a 9th grader, and 6th and 7th grader here at Ralston, and a 2nd grader at Sandpiper. She has served on the PTA board at Sandpiper for the last four years and is grateful for the opportunity to serve on the PTA board here and continue to be involved on the district level as well.  She loves reading, travelling and going for walks. 

Prachi Kothavade
VP/Fundraising

Prachi and her husband, Sachin, have lived in Redwood Shores for 15 years. They have a 6th grader at Ralston Middle School and a 2nd grader at Sandpiper Elementary. As a family, they love walking their dog in the neighborhood and share a passion for traveling and exploring cultures and nature around the world. They have traveled to 17 countries so far. Prachi has been an active volunteer at Sandpiper and is excited to support the Ralston community.

Nidhi and her family have lived in Redwood Shores for almost 20 years. They have a 11th grader and a 8 th grader. An active community member, she loves to volunteer at school and started a Robotics club at Ralston last year. As a first time serving on the  PTA executive Board she is  very grateful for this opportunity and thankful to be a part of this wonderful community. She loves to do gardening, travel and spend time with friends and family.

Deanna Chow
SchoolForce

Deanna is a Bay Area native and is grateful for being part of the BRSSD community. She will be serving as the Ralston SchoolForce Co-chair during the 2025-26 school year.  Deanna is passionate about civic engagement and community building in both her personal life and professional career as a city planner. She has volunteered in various roles in the classroom, SchoolForce, and the PTA Board since her son (now an 8th grader at Ralston) was in kindergarten at Sandpiper. In her free time, Deanna enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling (Pokemon GO is a bonus), and trying to grow a garden.

David Cheng
SchoolForce

David Cheng has lived in Belmont since 2020 and is a proud father of 2; one incoming 6th grader at Ralston and another TK at Fox. He has previously served on the Central Elementary PTA Board as EVP and has been involved in numerous events at the school. Professionally, he works at Bank of America as a Senior Vice President in The Private Bank. In his spare time he loves to travel with his family, run, hike and attend sporting events.
