Student Government
Welcome!
Welcome to Ralston Middle School Student Government! We organize all of the spirit activities, dances, socials, and community service events around campus. Our guiding principles come from the Preamble of our Constitution:
“We, the students of Ralston Middle School Student Government, embrace the responsibilities and duties of self-government, strive to be inclusive and supportive on campus and in our community, uphold accountability and fairness, and show leadership through service and commitment.”

Join Student Government
If you're interested in joining Student Government, you must complete an application at the end of the year for the following school year. For example, if you are a 7th grader wanting to join Student Government in 8th grade, you must apply at the end of your 7th grade year.
Only 7th and 8th graders can join Student Government as an elective. We hope 6th graders will get the hang of how Ralston works in their first year as middle schoolers, catch the Ram spirit through our events, and join in 7th grade!
Once a member of Student Government, you can run for a position on our Executive Board:
8th Grade President
8th Grade Vice President
7th Grade President
Treasurer
Historian (one per period)
Elections are held at the beginning of the school year and follow the campaign rules and regulations found in Ralston Student Government’s Constitution.

Meet our student government adviser, Mr. Lambert!
My name is Spencer Lambert, Ralston Middle School’s Student Government Adviser. This is my first year working in Student Government, and it is an exciting and challenging task to give students opportunities to work on leadership, teamwork, and self-confidence through our many events and activities.
As a government nerd with the degree to prove it, I love seeing students understand the democratic process in class and use it to make positive change and events happen around our school. Outside of school, I can usually be found listening to music, cooking up something new for fun, or watching my beloved Giants and 49ers.
For current events going on at Ralston, check out the bulletin board outside Mr. Lambert’s Room 28. Stay tuned for social media pages with up-to-date Student Government information!
